Beauty and the Animal
(1991)
In a quaint French village during the tardily 18th century, Belle, a bright and beautiful young woman, finds escape from her ordinary life, and the advances of a boorish suitor, Gaston, by reading books. Meanwhile, off in a castle in the distance, a roughshod young prince is cast nether the spell of an enchantress who turns him into a tormented animate being, while transforming his servants into animated household objects. In order to remove the curse, the Beast must discover a true love who volition return his affection earlier the concluding petal falls from an enchanted rose. When Belle�s inventor father stumbles upon the Fauna�due south castle and is taken prisoner, Belle comes to the rescue and agrees to take her begetter�due south place. Beauty and the Creature Blu-ray Review

Disney has re-released the dear animated film 'Dazzler and the Beast' to Blu-ray, following the original 2010 Diamond Edition and the 2011 3D Diamond Edition. This 25th anniversary 'Signature Collection' release contains two unique cuts of the film and a sing-along version. It also contains several new on-disc special features and carries over the audio commentary track from the original. Unfortunately, most of the supplements are digital-only, attainable just past redeeming the Disney digital code included with purchase. Likewise disappointing is the absence of the 3D disc. Picture and audio qualities are identical between releases. See the supplemental section of the review below for more information.

Dazzler and the Beast Blu-ray, Special Features and Extras
This Signature Collection Blu-ray release of Beauty and the Beast contains ii unique cuts of the moving-picture show: Original Theatrical Edition (i:24:54) and Special Extended Edition (i:31:44). Besides included is a sing-along version of the theatrical cut, bachelor in English language only. Several new supplemental features are besides included and the disc carries over the commentary track from the previously released Blu-rays. Many additional supplements are available digitally simply, some of which carry over from either this or the previous Blu-ray, and many more than that are new to whatsoever release of the picture show on the Blu-ray format. Below is a breakup of what's included, where, and whether it's new or carryover. Note that every extra on this disc is also available digitally (except for the short extra advertising the digital extras), but not vice-versa, obviously.
On-disc supplements:
- Always Belle (1080p, 11:32): Paige O'Hara discusses her involvement in the film, portraying Belle, a quarter- century ago. She discusses her musical history, her movement to New York to pursue her career, her passion for art, her work on stage, landing the part, preforming voice piece of work, working with Howard Ashman, life after the function, and more.
- Menken & Friends: 25 Years of Musical Inspiration (1080p, 19:06): Robert Lopez, Kristen Anderson-Lopez, Lin- Manuel Miranda, Stephen Schwartz, and Alan Menken gather to sing songs from Beauty and the Beast and reminisce near the film.
- #1074: Walt, Fairy Tales & Dazzler and the Fauna (1080p, ix:36): A look dorsum at Walt Disney'south travels to Europe and opening a gateway to European Fairy Tales in Disney animation. It looks back at the early listing of the idea for Beauty and the Creature, Kay Nielsen'south contributions to Disney, the project'southward potential to transition to Television decades prior to its film release, problems bringing the story to the screen, inspirations from a long-lost Nielsen drawing, and other projects that got off the ground in the years since.

Beauty and the Beast Blu-ray, Overall Score and Recommendation
Dazzler and the Beast'due south 25th Anniversary/Signature Drove release leaves a flake to exist desired. Brand no mistake, the picture show is fantastic, the technical presentation is top-notch, and the new supplements are fine (including a more than straightforward menu layout, which is much appreciated). The lack of the 3D disc is disappointing and the failure to drop all of the extras onto disc is a shame. Still, for fans who have missed out on the previous release, everything (and more than) is here, be information technology physically or digitally, minus that 3D disc. A must-purchase for those who missed out on the release the kickoff two times, simply only the almost hardcore fans should double (or perhaps even triple) dip on this.
